The food was not great. The tandoori chicken tastes off and the Dal Makhani was ok. The nan comes in very small portions. There are better places for the same price.
Not as tasty as many others who have the same dishes at lower price. Some may find it weird that curry is without chilli heat. But the service is excellent, with staff always helpful & asking without prompt.
Best Indian restaurant in town 🫶🏼 I recommend the donepatha murghi (Bengali chicken curry) or the damodar chingiri (prawns in a coconut). All soooo good.
Extremely slow service. After 1h from opening, food for first table customer was served. They reserve table but table can be empty for 1.5 hours. Don know how they make business like that. Visitors are mostly non locals. Shop has some flies flying around. Food wise , quite decent. I like the curry in coconut. Potato balls were served quite cold… naan is overpriced. Mutton is ok , a lot meat but taste like the Chinese skewers. Masala tea tasted like an instant tea rather than brewed for sometime… Overall the slow service is turn off , I think there are better restaurants
First time visited this restaurant and the food was so tasty and the meat was soft and tender. Curry spiciness just nice. Great North Indian food so far.
Welcome to delightful India right in the middle of Singapore. Located in Race Course road and in the vicinity of Little India this place screams authenticity. The quaint place had nice decor and a good vibe. We had the butter chicken, lady finger vegetable curry, fish tikka, garlic and cheese Naan as well as a starter which was a flatbread filled with a spinach style filling and a curry on the side to dip the bread. For drinks we had a mango lassi and lime juice. Everything was delicious and the service was delightful and friendly. Recommended to make a reservation as it got quite busy on a Thursday evening.
Excellent dinner at Mustard on Race Course Rd. Restaurant is small and intimate and service is excellent and attentive. They have a huge menu with tons of choices so we ordered way too much to try many things. Everything was wonderful but especially recommend the house special Chingri Maacher Malai, the Aloo Jhuri, Mutton Biryani and the kathi kababs.
Excellent food!We arrived at opening at 11:30 specifically bent on enjoying authentic Bengali food—we left satisfied and glad we came early! The waiters are able to make excellent recommendations. We opted to go straight for mains:- Kosha Mangsho: tender chunks of mutton in a fantastic thicker gravy- Chingri Maacher Malai Curry: delicate shrimp and coconut curry presented in a tender coconut- Maacher Paturi: boneless fish fillet smothered in mustard, gently steamed in a banana leafRice bread does not come with each main, and does require separate purchasing. We opted for:- Luchi: aka puri, lightly fried and crisp- Roomali Roti: one roti is rather large, and folded in on itself; delicate with a great chew- Plain white riceFor dessert, we enjoyed Rossomalai (aka Rasmalai), a dessert in most areas of India, but theirs is fragrant and richly flavored with cardamom, almonds, and cream. All in all, a fantastic visit for those who enjoy Indian food and are looking for something different than what most restaurants serve. They do include Punjabi items in their menu, which is typically what most people think of when they think “Indian,” but venturing off to possibly “unfamiliar” dishes won’t disappoint!
Located in the Little India neighborhood. This restaurant has friendly staff, of which unfortunately not everyone speaks English.Food menu is extensive and you don't have to wait very long on your food. Not everything was of my personal taste, but I am sure the food was nice. Also enough dessert choices and even typical Indian drinks.Do note that the air conditioning is very cold here, somewhat too cold (heard the same thing from a co-worker who visited earlier).
