- get the malabar goat meat biryani 10/10. costs additional ~$5 for goat meat but definitely worth it (costs slightly less than $20 after tax etc)- don't confuse goat meat with mutton- the goat meat is lean yet tender, and is not gamey at all. also tried the chicken and mutton biryani. the goat meat is still the best- not your typical SG crayon-red/orange biryani. the rice (white basmati) is fragrant, and the spices in the meat are not overpowering- be prepared to wait ~15mins (biryani is prepared upon order)- portion is huge. don't be fooled by the seemingly small "cauldron"- heard from a regular that you may want to call the restaurant beforehand to reserve the goat meat (it is that popular)- mint sauce is delicious and quite spicy- onion pakora is crispy but not greasy. good for sharing- place is spacious, clean, and bright. service is good
Staff is wonderful, food is great, beer is decent price compared to the Hilton next door! Would recommend! The special chicken is nice and spicy. Our price included several large bottles of beer.
Amazing food and hospitality 🌟 We went on a Friday evening. It's a cozy, clean restaurant in Little India, tucked away from the main street. The staff were friendly and prompt with service even though the place was packed. They even manage to take great pics of my spouse and I even though they were super busy! We loved the decor and brightness of the restaurant. The food is made fresh and it feels like its home cooked and made with their original family recipes. The bamboo mutton briyani was exceptional and a treat to see. We also ordered a traditional veg set meal which was unique and tasty (they even offered refills of rice). The malabar fish curry is really good - the fish was tender and fresh. Overall we spent $45+ for 3 mains and 2 drinks (2 pax) which is great value, we were really full in the end. It's our first time eating Kerala food and south indian cuisine in Singapore and we were in awe 🙂 Definitely coming back to try the goat and seafood dishes. Thank you for the wonderful service!
Delicious, authentic Kerala cuisine in a cosy and welcoming space. Prawn curry with poratha, goat bamboo biryani and fish cutlets were my absolute faves!
We had our lunch here around 12pm. Atmosphere was good. Restaurant was very clean. Supervisor/manager took really good care of us. Food was good. I chose other type of rice instead of basmati for my briyani. Had to add on $1 but it’s savoury and worth it.
