Visited this place after very long time thinking to try their tandoori chicken tikka and daal makhani with seafood naan. In the past it was good but today made a mistake to be there.tandoori chicken tikka came in 5 pieces plate after long waiting. Unfortunately it was raw inside and not cooked properly. We told the guy and he happily replied ok sir, and I asked what are you doing about it and then he went in to inform that they will change. After another waiting for long daal makhani was served with naan and to my surprise the daal was not cooked properly. The beans were hard for this dish and I again have to tell but they didn’t bothered. After another 15 min or so the tikka was served in a portion of 3 pieces with explanation that since you already tried 2 pieces earlier this time we only give you 3 pieces. Never seen any restaurant ever with such a bad behaviour.Observed a lady on the phone at the payment counter on phone. Upon inquiring she mentioned to be the owner of the place.I told her about our experience and she agreed to check later. Interestingly the owner was just a sitting with her phone who didn’t bother to know the customers experience or complains. If you wish to waste your money on uncooked food, then please visit at your own risk.
Walked into this long standing restaurant on Racecourse Road for small bites. The chef and Helen did not disappoint. The bhajias (deep fried fritters of plantain, potato and onion) and the chilli Bajji (green chillies deep fried in batter), Chickpeas masala and papadams were served hot off the stove and disappeared in seconds.A big thank you to Helen and Mohit who took care of us.Thank you for the great experience.
Great place to have authentic North Indian food in Singapore. The place is managed by Raveena , a very courteous and welcoming person with his husband. The taste of food was great.Had my birthday dinner.Large variety of drinks and food is available.Must visit for Indian cuisine😀
Delicious North Indian food served consistently over the last 20 years.I’ve dined in and catered from this restaurant for my birthday party. Every guest I bring to the restaurant or taste the food at my home is amazed by how delicious North Indian cuisine can be.Prior to COVID 19, they used to be a popular food destination with the crew of a tier 1 European airline. The crew would pre-order a specific cashew based curry for their flight back home. Impressive.Must tries if it is your first time there: Chicken Malai Tikka, Cheese Kulcha, garlic naan, any briyani, palaak saag (chicken with creamed spinach), baingan bharta (mashed roasted eggplant), baingan bajardi (pardon the spelling. Fried eggplant with spices) and the Kashmiri naan, a sweet dessert naan stuffed with dried fruits used in fruit cake. Even fruit cake haters became fans of it.Sure, by all means, order the butter chicken which is also good. But do try the rogan josht or look for that dish with the cashew gravy (forgot the name).Service is good and the seating is comfortable. Do expect that the waiting time for food will be longer during peak hours or when you notice that there are several other tables that have not gotten their food. One pro-tip is to place your order upfront to avoid delays from the kitchen.
My son went to a new Indian eatery recently with friends and told us about it when he got home. He was singing praises for the food he had, especially the butter chicken, so it was only fitting the family gave it a try. We went over for lunch here. Parking the car was horrendous, but the moment we sat down, ordered our food and ate, all the parking frustrations left us.The staff were attentive and great at what they do. The food was the coup de grace for the meal. Everything they served was great, and trust me; we've had our fair share of Indian food! What I especially liked was the fact that we could taste the spice seasoning without being overwhelmed by it. The flavours were just right! It was a great meal for us!
